What kinds of gatherings can I use Bring One for?

Bring One can help anywhere a group needs to coordinate what people are bringing. Beach days, BBQs, birthdays, potlucks, camping trips, road trips, tailgates, family reunions, school events, sports teams, church gatherings, office events, and picnics all fit. If people are bringing things, Bring One can probably help.

How does Bring One work?

Create a gathering. Add what the group needs. Share one link. People claim what they will bring. Everyone sees what is covered and what is still needed. Close any remaining gaps before the gathering.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Bring One works in the browser and can be used without installing anything. On supported devices, you can also install it as a web app for easier access.

Do guests need a Bring One account?

No. Guests can open a shared gathering and claim what they will bring without creating an account.

No. Guests are free to participate. Bring One does not charge based on the number of people invited to a gathering.

Guests can see the gathering information they need to participate, including what is still needed, what is covered, and the items available to claim.

Can a guest change what they are bringing?

Yes. A guest can update the quantity and note for an existing claim where available. To bring a completely different item, they release the current claim and claim the new item instead. Normal gathering timing rules still apply.

What does Still Needed mean?

Still Needed shows what the gathering has not fully covered yet. If four bags of ice are needed and three are covered, one bag is still needed. Bring One focuses on the remaining gap so the group knows what still needs someone.

Can more than one person bring the same item?

Yes, when the item needs more than one unit. If the group needs four bags of ice, one person might bring two and another person can bring the remaining two. Bring One tracks quantities so the group can see exactly how much is still needed.

Can people accidentally claim more than the gathering needs?

Bring One is designed to prevent active claimed quantities from exceeding the quantity the organizer says is needed.

What kinds of items can I add?

Organizers can add the things their gathering needs, including food, drinks, supplies, equipment, cleanup items, and other custom needs.

Can the organizer change the list later?

Yes. Organizers can manage gathering items as the gathering evolves. If people have already claimed an item, Bring One protects those commitments and may prevent the needed quantity from being reduced below what is already claimed.

How do I invite people?

Organizers can share a gathering with a shareable link or QR code. Where your device supports it, you can send the link through the places your group already uses, such as text, email, Messenger, or WhatsApp.

Does Bring One replace our Messenger or WhatsApp group?

No. Bring One is designed to work alongside the places your group already communicates. Use your group chat for conversation. Use Bring One when everyone needs one clear view of what is needed, who is bringing it, and what is still missing.

Can I share a QR code?

Yes. Organizers can display or download the gathering QR code where available. Scanning it opens the same gathering participants can access through the shared link.

Does Bring One use AI?

Yes. Bring One can use AI to help organizers think of useful items for a gathering. Suggestions are based primarily on the gathering type and available context, and the organizer chooses what to add. AI is optional and is not required for Bring One to work.

Will AI automatically add things to my gathering?

No. AI suggestions are presented for the organizer to review. Organizers can add individual suggestions or use Add All, then edit the resulting items.

What happens if AI suggestions are unavailable?

Bring One still works normally. The organizer can add items manually at any time. AI assists the organizer. It is never required for the core product.

Past gatherings are read-only. The information stays available where supported, but the gathering is no longer an active coordination list.

No. Once a gathering is past, normal participant claiming is no longer available.

Archived gatherings are no longer active public claim pages. They do not behave like published gatherings that participants can join and claim from.

Paid-plan limits are not enforced in Bring One today. When paid plans launch, Free is planned for one active gathering at a time and Plus is planned for unlimited active gatherings.
